If you're looking for archery in Florida, the right answer depends on what you actually need. A first lesson, an indoor practice lane, a 3D shoot on Sunday, a custom bow build, broadhead tuning before opening day — those are different services with different best-fit shops.
This page lists verified archery shops, ranges, and clubs across every major Florida metro. Each entry is sourced from the business's own website or the Florida Archery Association directory. We've left out anything we couldn't verify.
We're a private Archery Development Center at 7524 Castle Dr in Sarasota — by appointment only, on a 2-acre outdoor facility with a 120+ yard range, Labradar Doppler radar verification, and USA Archery Level 3 NTS coaching. We don't run an indoor lane, host casual 3D shoots, sell beginner equipment, or operate as a walk-in retail store. If those are what you need, the listings above will serve you better than we will. We're built for technical bow work, competitive coaching, custom builds, Western hunt prep, and the precision end of the sport.
If your needs are on the technical or competitive end — bow tuning that holds at 80+ yards, a custom build matched to your draw and goals, broadhead verification before a Western elk hunt, ASA tournament prep, TAC course setup, or USA Archery Level 3 NTS coaching — we're the closest serious option for most of Florida.
Florida has roughly 30 archery shops, ranges, and clubs spread across seven major regions — Sarasota / Manatee, Tampa Bay, Orlando / Central Florida, Southwest Florida, Miami / South Florida, Jacksonville / Northeast Florida, and Tallahassee / Panhandle. Most metros have at least one indoor lane and one club, but full-service technical facilities — Level 3 coaching, Labradar verification, 120+ yard outdoor distance — are rare. Use the directory above to find the closest option to your zip code, then call before driving across town.
An archery shop sells equipment and usually offers basic tuning and repair. An archery range is a place to shoot — could be indoor lanes, an outdoor field range, or a 3D course. An archery club is a member-run organization, typically nonprofit, that maintains a range and hosts shoots. Many Florida facilities combine two or three of these (e.g., a shop with an attached lane, or a club with a pro shop). The directory above tags each entry by what it primarily does.
Most member-run clubs require membership for full-time access, but many host monthly or quarterly open shoots that non-members can attend for a guest fee. Costs typically run $20–$40 for a guest shoot, and some clubs offer free intro days. Public ranges (city, county, or state-park operated) generally don't require membership but may charge a per-day or per-target fee.
Match the facility to the work. For league nights, casual practice, and beginner lessons, an indoor lane near home is the right answer. For competitive 3D, look for a club with a 28-target course (most are NFAA or ASA-style). For Western bowhunt prep or precision long-range work, you need a facility with verified outdoor distance and Labradar Doppler radar — those are rare. For technical bow tuning or custom builds, look for a shop with a credentialed bow technician (USA Archery Level 3 or equivalent), not just retail counter staff.
